The grape is the best venue in Ventura County and Rivals some of the clubs in LA like the baked potato! You can't beat the atmosphere here on the sound system is really good. They get some of the best acts on the West Coast.

I recently caught a set by Boom Duo, and it was genuinely unlike anything I’ve heard in a long time. It’s rare to find a duo that bridges the gap between percussion and melody so seamlessly—they aren't just playing together; they’re building a sonic architecture. The way the rhythmic layers lock into the melodic lines creates a texture that feels completely free. It’s a fresh, necessary departure from the standard formats. Keep it up.

What a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon. The Grape does not disappoint! Great music and ambiance, friendly staff, and a wide variety of beer, wine and spirits. Good live music on a regular basis in Ventura. I am so glad The Grape is in my town.

I would like to thank the owners and staff of The Grape for putting on great shows. They bring in top-notch acts. There’s not another venue like this in Ventura County, with great acoustics and a comfortable vibe. The community needs a nice, clean, safe place to listen to great music and that’s what The Grape is!

First time at The Grape in Ventura, and it immediately felt like a place I’ll want to return to regularly. The sound system was fantastic, there really wasn’t a bad seat in the house, the staff was friendly, and the room itself is an excellent environment for live music. We were there to see Boom Duo, who were absolutely beautiful. If Rothko paintings were music, they would sound like Boom Duo: spacious, emotional, atmospheric, and quietly powerful. Their sound feels less like a performance than an immersive environment, textured, patient, and unfolding slowly with a quiet intensity that lingers long after the final note. I checked The Grape’s calendar afterward and they have a great lineup coming up. Ventura is lucky to have this venue

MC was our mixologist/bartender and she was amazing! The drinks were superb and she was super friendly and added to the already awesome atmosphere. We ordered a Mint Julep and a Lavender Gyn drink (can’t remember the exact name) and they were both delicious. The music was a total vibe, but they did have a cover charge.

Went to see Boom Duo on 4/15/26. First of all, the musicianship on display was top-notch. It was about a third of the way through the set when the proprietor briefly took a mic and asked the percussionist to describe what the audience was hearing, and he reported that EVERYTHING they were playing was improvised. Mesmerizing and wholly musical throughout. Highly recommend seeing Boom Duo, and of course the Grape is always a gem. Great service and attentiveness. Everyone on staff is very welcoming and the environment is super comfy. Don’t sleep on The Grape, it should be considered a main Ventura attraction imo.
